Question 95 that suddenly won't turn over starter.

Hello everyone. I am in a bind.I tried to start my 95 Limited sedan up and all I got were dash lights(no sound at starter). After many tests ie: Starter, battery, vats system (all check out fine) I pray I am not stuck with: The dreaded Tow to a GM dealer. I should add that I jacked her up and tested the starter at the solenoid. The car started and ran for about a couple seconds then shut off like someone turned the key off. I did this about 4 times more but everytime it started and ran 2-3 seconds then shut off-- even when I had someone pump the accelerator after the engine started but it still instantly shut off.
No pass key light illuminating -ever! Any ideas like-- What would you do??

You should have a second key to use . Try it ! Key could have lost some info.

There have bee some reported problems with the ign switch assys. Might want to confirm it is completing the circuit to the rest of the vehicle.

IMO I don't believe they are related.

Unhappy Solenoid??

How about this? Maybe the solenoid needs to send a message back to the ignition that the circuit to the starter is still in place or the security system shuts the fuel off. Remember that the cuicuit is complete until I pull the screwdriver jump back off when it started underneath it.

The vat system typically blocks power to the starter solenoid and fuel injectors. Sounds like it is doing that when it should not.

I believe I may be a good candidate. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
