2011 regal 2.4. ok so every year in August my battery dies. I take it to Costco and they give me a new interstate agm. 4 years in a row I did this. They cut me off now and rightly so. Charging system is good. I've.done paracitic draw tests in the past and not found anything beyond .77 amps. Which was always infotainment and radio circuits. A few days ago I got 2.5amps on the test. Obviously that is very high. So now I'm driving with no radio, gps, etc. infotainment was 1.7 and .8 for radio. Infotainment does download data at times so it's never really off.
Has anyone else had this issue with those circuits?
Is 2.5mps enough to kill a very good interstate agm battery.
Could this be fixed by a prankster at gm? Every August it goes crazy on those circuits.
What steps can one take to get the radio and info back working?
