Multiple prob. regal ls 02
#1

I've just purchased a 02 regal Ls back in June 07 and it had 93k on it. I've been driving on the hi way quiet a bit so i'm at 106k now. I've had multiple problems with the car since i got it.

The first one is the driver side heated seat isn't working. I've traced the wiring and replaced the switch and it's still not working. I was thinking that its the element inside the back portion of the seat that's broken and its not completing the circuit, so i've cut off the element and short it out just to see if that would fix the problem. still nothing though.

the second one is the fuel gauge. The fuel gauge will fluctuate constantly. It only display the correct fuel amount when i first start the engine. Once i put it in gear, it'll climb all the way up regardless of the fuel amount. I've gone to the dealership to get some sort of liqued ($20) de-gum-er of some sort to clean the build up in the tank, since it could be just a build up on the contact of the variable resistor in the tank. still nothing. I have no problem relying on the trip odometer, but having an accurate fuel gauge would be nice.

The final (i hope), is the acceleration. I can accelerate no problem, but everytime i'm on the highway, accelerating from, say, 100 to 120-130, once it passes 4500 rpm, it doesn't seem that the proper gear is engaging. I can feel the engine spinning faster, but don't feel the push I should. This has just happened in the last 2-3 weeks or so. I'm hoping that its just a transmission problem since I still have warranty on the drive system. No electrical though unfortunally.

So, if anyone has any clue on what's going on here, please let me know. It'll be more than helpful.
