    You probably won't be able to fix a broken gear. Pretty much the only way you can find out what's going on is to take it all apart and see if you can see anything. You're probably better off buying another one at a JY and see if it works, or buying an aftermarket one.

    It clicks with every tape how do u fix a broken gear, or how would you diagnose the problem

    Hey, does it "click" with any tape you have in it, or just a certain one? If it's just happening with one particular tape, it might be something in the tape that's broken. If not, it could be dirt in the gears in the cassette player, or possibly something broken in there.
