1990 Buick LeSabre
Recently my check engine light has been coming on, so i took my car to a mechanic. He took my car and come back and said that he read the codes and i needed a new throttle position sensor. He said the part would cost $130 and it would be $75 to put it in. I thought this was high so i went to autozone and asked if they could read the code. The guy said he didn't know where the code reader plug was and i didn't know either. So my question is where do i plug a code reader in at on a 1990 Buick LeSabre and how much should a throttle position sensor cost?

Hello,
Ware the symptoms your car is giving you? Is it just the SES light that comes on periodically?
As for the OBD reader port, its under the dash just to the right of the gas pedal. Its more so directly in the middle under there.
Cost for the part seems to be a dealer rate, might be able to find it cheaper else where. Time to replace, well, is really only 25 minutes, but mechanics usually charge a minimum 1 hour.
