Default 92 Skylark shuts off

I have a 92 skylark. But My main problem is while I'm driving my RPM's like to jump all over the place then just shut down. Before it shuts down it hesitates before doing so. A lot has been replaced. Could someone help me know what the problem is?

What has been replaced? That would really help narrow things down.

I asked the seller what she replaced she said:fuel pump, fuel filter, air filter, thermostat, and vac hoses. They also replaced ignition modual, and that was the first problem they had. Also she's not 100% if they replaced the belt or not.

Well, that narrows it down a lot. It sounds a lot like a vacuum leak. I'd look over all the vacuum hoses, even though they're all new, there could be a kink/bad fitting somewhere. It might also be a good idea to check the fuel lines around the tank..something might have been nipped or kinked when the tank was reinstalled.

That sounds more like a bad fuel pressure regulator. With the car running, or shut off with the key "on," pull the hose on the top of the regulator. If gas drips, or there's a strong smell of gas, the fpr is probably bad.

That looks like the pcv valve. Do you have a clearer picture?
